Regina M. Egea
President, Garden State Initiative
Regina M. Egea, President of the newly formed Garden State Initiative (GSI), comes with a background in both the private sector as well as public service.
In 2008, Regina concluded a successful career as an Officer at AT&T after holding a wide range of leadership positions with expanding responsibility in Product Management, Network Operations, Human Resources, and Sales & Marketing. Her final assignment there, as Senior Vice President in Global Business Marketing, included leading a globally diverse workforce in support of AT&T’s Global Business sales force.
Skills honed at AT&T have served her well in the public sector. Regina served as Governor Christie’s Chief of Staff from 2015-2016 having been a part of the Christie Administration since he was elected in 2009. Regina joined first as the State Treasurer’s Chief of Staff, then was brought into the Governor’s Office as his Director of the Authorities Unit in 2012.
Concurrent with working at AT&T, Regina was first elected in her own right locally to the School Board of Education (2003-2007) then to her home town’s Township Committee (2008-2012), serving as Deputy Mayor in 2010.
Married to Emilio since 1993, they have two children ages 23 and 19.
Regina earned an M.B.A. in Marketing from Fordham University in NYC along with a B.A. from Montclair University in NJ.
